What: Middle Eastern vegan wraps and salad boxes for £7, with an option to go full-on vegetarian with grilled halloumi (a snip at 50p more).
Where: It’s healthy scran from one of half a dozen streetfood stalls available every weekday lunchtime at Regent’s Place. On our last visit others included Filipino specialities, wood-fired pizza, Greek kebabs and more. Why: These portions are biiiiig for your money’s worth: super-packed wraps and salad boxes. Falafel balls come nearly tennis-ball size, all crunchy-coating and piping moist interior, while the salad bar is piled high with cucumbers, green peppers, black and green olives, capsicums, red onions and more. Tahini and spicy salsa sauces up the flavourbomb-factor.
Don’t: Order additional halloumi unless you are really hungry. The four falafels and deep-filled salad were more than adequate. We were thankful for the Black Sheep coffee shop nearby for a post-prandial caffeine hit.
Notes: The streetfood stalls are currently located by the New Diorama Theatre, should you need to get your bearings.
