Inside our brand new issue, out today, we celebrate a decade of Camden Collective, an enterprising charity supporting start-up businesses with free and subsidised co-working space.
It all began back in 2009 when local champions Camden Town Unlimited decided to fill empty spaces on the high street to encourage creative entrepreneurs to see Camden as their home.
Fast forward ten years and it has run pop-ups, marketplaces and workspaces, the biggest being in Euston’s Temperance Hospital, before it was razed.
Inside we meet some of the success stories, including Anne Marie Imafidon, pictured here on our cover, who started her social enterprise Stemettes which encourages girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). She even went on to receive an MBE – all by the age of 26.
Elsewhere we speak to the next lot of Future Changemakers, meet the new owner of Shaker & Company and discover a pub hidden off Hampstead Road. We also find out why one woman keeps bees on a rooftop high above Euston.
Cover feature runs pages 10-11
