BOOZY POP-UP: Winter Retreat
A cosy spot with a roaring log fire, head here to sup on seasonal tipples and munch on streetfood. Popping up in the plaza, the snug space will also host a range of workshops including terrarium-making with plant expert Victoria Hellum of Plantjoy. What else? Themed quiz nights in collaboration with the Knowledge Quarter, board games, live music and community events such as a coat swapping service for those in need. The range is cruelty-free, suitable for vegans and doesn’t contain any harmful parabens or sulphates. THEATRE: New Diorama
Over the coming months there’s an ace line-up at New Diorama. First-up is the award-winning Boys: created by ensemble theatre company The PappyShow, it’s a “celebration of manhood” through the medium of dance. Come January, there’s The War of the Worlds, a production inspired by H.G. Wells’ sci-fi novel and Orson Welles’ famous radio broadcast; a collaboration between collective Rhum & Clay and playwright Isley Lynn that “wrestles with the boundaries of truth in a thrilling broadcast of the end of the world”.
