Big Screen returns to the plazaFilm buffs and sports geeks will be in their element this summer: Regent’s Place is once again erecting a giant monitor for open-air viewings of the golf, cricket and athletics, with movies being shown too as part of their Film Festival. John Travolta fans can get a fix with Grease, whilst Will Ferrell lovers can catch him in Anchorman.
Also don’t miss New Diorama’s summer cinema season, with screenings of family movies throughout the month. Previous flicks have included The Jungle Book and one of our faves, The Goonies. The cost? Absolutely zilch. Drink-wise, they’ve got you covered too, with a beach house themed pop-up bar called The Hamptons. Free, till 31st Aug, Regent’s Place Plaza NW1, more info.
Yummy artisan chocolate & canelé pop-upsSweet-of-tooth? Two pop-ups are worth catching this season: master chocolatier Andrew Kennard will be offering exciting-sounding creations such as chilli and cardamom and raspberry and lavender; and Babelle will be armed with their small French pastries: in particular we love the raspberry tart. Babelle is at 10 Brock Street NW1, 17th Aug 11am-3pm & 20 Triton St, 20th Sept 11am-3pm. Kennard is at 20 Triton Street, 31st Aug & 6th Sept 11am-3pm, more here.
