MUST DO: Say cheese at Wellcome Collection

Teeth is a brilliant summer show all about our choppers. Grin and bear it at the Euston Road museum

eeth is the first major exhibition devoted to the history of, you guessed it, the essential molars that lurk within our mouths. It aims to trace the evolution of our relationship with our nashers and what they say about us.

Featuring over 150 objects, including toothpaste advertisements, cartoons and caricatures, dental drills and dentures made from hippopotamus ivory, it explores the origins and development of dentistry, emerging technologies in the 19th and 20th centuries and the advent of anaesthetic.

Our pearly whites are the only visible part of the human skeleton, they say a lot about who we are. What lengths would you go to for a Hollywood smile?
