Last month saw gongs dished out across four publicly-voted categories in the brand new Camden Inspire awards. Presented by Council leader Georgia Gould, under the ornate Victorian iron girders of the new Camden Collective co-working space, the winners included local ethical clothing brand Clime-it Brothers (Best Market Trader), Parkway’s Green Note (Best Music Venue), and Camden Road’s southern Italian Apulia Café (Best Eating and Drinking Experience).
But guess who scooped the prize for Best Retail? Why, Drummond Street’s perennially popular Bio Organix store, which stocks everything from raw chocolate to weight-loss tree syrup and two litre vats of cider vinegar.
Locals have long known it as a go-to for organic products and natural remedies, but if you’ve never been, pop in: level-headed owner Nepal-born Bak is as willing to offer advice as he is to have a chat about the redevelopment of Euston.
